Best Miami Clubs

MR. JONES The Miami New Times named Mr. Jones the “Best Dance Club,” while noting the couches and tables designed for maximum alcohol consumption and minimal dancing. But that doesn’t stop club-goers from dancing on top of the tables and bars. Imagine a massive main room of sensory overload, starting with a chandelier that’s bigger than your house, glass tubes filled with almost-naked dancers, pounding dance music, and red padded seats for you to chill in by the dance floor. At the moment, it is also one of the best spots to hear the hottest DJs on the scene.

EXCHANGE What do Kim Kardashian, LeBron James, Drake, Ariana Grande, and countless other people have in common? You guessed it — they’ve ALL partied at Exchange Nightclub Miami. Since opening it’s doors Exchange has become a staple in the South Beach nightlife scene. Featuring a state-of-the-art sound and LED lighting system, Exchange has showcased some of the world’s most notable Electronic Dance Music DJ’s and has provided the backdrop for many astonishing impromptu performances by some of today’s hottest artist. Exclusive yet unpretentious, sexy yet sinful, classic yet very contemporary, Exchange Nightclub embodies the true sophistication of premium nightlife. Though their velvet rope is a tight one, we’ve got you covered.

CAMEO Cameo nightclub has become one of the more recognizable names in the scene, building its reputation on a crowd friendly atmosphere, long-running parties, and a steady stream of talent. Located in an historic Art Deco movie theater, Cameo Nightclub is divided into a 10,000 square foot dance room and a 6,000 square foot glass enclosed VIP area upstairs. A catwalk around the second floor perimeter provides space for bottle service with exceptional views. Entrance fees can be notoriously expensive depending on the night.

DO NOT SIT [On The Furniture] The philosophy of this beat-freak hangout is right there in the name: If you’re sitting, you’re not dancing, and dancing is the whole point. That’s why revelers looking for a grittier party experience in SoBe have been flocking to the latest dimly lit dancehall in town, affectionately referred to as Don’t Sit. House heads have come to love the no-nonsense atmosphere in a space that’s both charming and imaginative without being frilly and over-the-top.

NIKKI BEACH The epitome of what a beach club should be, Nikki Beach is an outdoor playland extending over a wide stretch of sand with tiki bars, lounge chairs, and torches. Decorated with beautiful people, it feels like the Playboy mansion meets Survivor. Here, the fittest don’t only survive, they excel.

HYDE BEACH Located in an architectural annex to the rear beach frontage of the SLS South Beach, Hyde Beach is a poolside glamour pad that mixes an all-day beach club scene with garden dining room and bar lounge with a poolside sanctuary of some of the hottest bodies in Miami. The space shows off a Phillipe Starck design that’s more playful than seen before with its timber-shelved bric-a-brac, bar top tiki lamps and Murano chandeliers that surround the main bar. Fluffy, slip-covered sofas are adorned in tropical-print pillows and vintage surfer artwork facing walls of moveable glass that open to reveal an infinity edge pool lined in colorfully arranged loungers and direct beach access.

LIQUOR LOUNGE After a recent and extensive renovation this bar has transformed from what used to be a locals dive bar into very appealing cross between ultra-lounge and sports bar. Liquor Lounge has a great sound system, and the staff always jumps to make sure they’re playing the high-energy music our guests want to hear. The drinks are strong, and they give us excellent drink specials, and they have a patio outside that lets guests get away and relax when they need a break.

TRADE Trade is a fully functional and multifaceted 7,500 square foot club built around music and those who love it. Every detail of the venue, from the ultra-modern lighting system to the fantastically rich sound system to the stylish and contemporary bars + décor elements have all been selected with the end-user experience in mind. Trade generally showcases more “underground” DJ’s that trend toward more deep house, techno, and minimalist. Good crowds and a hip scene always make Trade a great spot to hit on any night out.

LOST WEEKEND/KYI This bar is excellent because there is always great music playing and crowd of people enjoying the atmosphere with you. The music is always upbeat and fun, but not the usual top 40 songs you expect in many South Beach bars. Lost Weekend is connected on the inside to another bar next door: Kill Your Idol. Kill Your Idol is dimly lit and a little bit edgier than Lost Weekend. They generally play more alternative music, or feature a live band. Kill Your Idol is covered with weird collectibles, figurines, and paraphernalia, and it’s always fun to look around and see something unusual that you had missed the last time.
